Pregnant Women: Symptom of a Pregnant Woman, Help for Pregnant Woman

Before Becoming Pregnant

If you are thinking of becoming pregnant they are some things that you should think about before you actually conceive. Be aware of methylmercury and toxoplasma, two types of food borne risks that could affect you even before conception. Also, you need to begin to take folic acid, an essential nutrient needed to cut down your risk of having a baby born with some forms of birth defects.

You are pregnant

While some women know the instant that they are pregnant, some times other women don’t realize they are until they notice some of the possible signs, and changes within their bodies. In most cases, the first time a woman questions if she is pregnant is when she missed her period. However, if you don’t have regular periods they are other signs that may give you an indication that you are pregnant.

  1. Changes in your breasts-You may experience tenderness and enlargement as early as a week after conception. The area around the nipples may also appear to darken.
  2. You may experience morning sickness; this can happen either day or night, and usually starts two weeks after conception.
  3. You may begin to feel fatigued and this often will last through your first trimester.
  4. In some cases, approximately eight to ten days following ovulation, when the embryo attaches to the lining of the uterus, you may experience some light pink spotting.
  5. You may feel the need to urinate more often about six to eight weeks after conception.
  6. You could feel dizzy, experience backaches, cramps, an elevated body temperature, and constipation.

Some pregnancy symptoms can be off, so if you experience any of these and think that you might be pregnant the next stop is to take a home pregnancy test. These tests are not error proof, and you might want to take two just to confirm. Once you have done that, then you need to see a doctor and have a medical exam to confirm your condition, this way you can begin prenatal care.

First Trimester

Your pregnancy will last approximately two hundred and eight days, or forty weeks. A pregnancy is divided into three month segments often referred to as trimesters.

In your first trimester your body will grow a placenta to filter the oxygen and nourishment for your baby to develop inside you. The glands and the ducts in your breasts will grow to provide milk for the baby after its birth. This trimester also marks the period when you baby changes from a group of cells into an actual fetus that looks like a real person.

Second Trimester

This is probably the best time of your pregnancy. The morning sickness that you might have experienced is gone, and you are beginning to show. This also marks a busy time for baby, as their organs are beginning to grow and develop. The woman usually feels a large amount of energy and strength during these months.

Third Trimester

This is usually the waiting couple of months. The baby is going to be growing to its full size, which can present a lot of discomfort for its mother. Your baby’s skin has also begun to turn from red to pink, and his body is beginning to fill out to store a little fat.

The birth

Before the birth, you may want to plan out what you would like to happen during the birth of the child. If it is your first child, ask your doctor for the signs that labor has begun, once it starts, and then you need to head to the hospital.

This is a wonderful time for most women, but it can be stressful. Being prepared will allow you the opportunity to enjoy the pregnancy and have a happy healthy baby.
